They are very easy and cheap!

How to make Alcohol Ink Dyed Coasters

I just didn't make them coaster at first. But, then I did and gave them as gifts. I put felt on the back and rubber feet, they were great.

I also edged them with gold paint to give them more of a finished look. In my pictures, some of them hadn't been edged yet.
Thanks!

Here is a craft I saw on the net. I love this person's so much, but she also used a smaller pin, an antique one, or maybe it is duckpin bowling pins? Her's were antique I'm pretty sure.

I went to a bowling alley and apparently they change out pins for league bowling frequently. I asked if they had any and they GAVE me a whole box of them!

Here is the before and after of pin and then the girl.

You are blowing my mind away, Dana Jean. You ought to start a craft shop.

Thanks, but I couldn't. these are all other people's ideas. I couldn't sell their ideas. Maybe someday I will have something of my own.

A quote attributed to picasso, but other's as well:

A good artist borrows,
a great artist steals.

I just borrow.

Here is the guy. I remember now why I didn't take his picture, he suffers from vitiligo! The wood of this bowling pin took the stain different than the girl. But, she still loves him despite his skin issues.

Sorry - cannot see it (with or without his vitiligo issues) - does he look like Michael Jackson?

Took a workshop this weekend on how to do wet felting. Other than the 6 hours traveling each way to MA, it was well worth it and had a lot of fun. I'm going to need a lot more practice on the hand stitching as I've never done much embroidery work but for a first effort, pleased with the results. Am putting in the pics before felting and then finished (I think ) except for mounting and framing in a shadow box frame.

These are really beautiful...kind of Van Gogh-ish!
