I painted this t-shirt this morning. I call it Hearts in Atlantis (SK's Hearts in Atlantis inspired the design.) I think I placed the design too low on the shirt but it's one of hubby's old tees he wears when he bails hay so it doesn't much matter. Next time I'm going to paint it using rainbow colors.

Boy howdy, cutting all those hearts out of contact paper was a booger an a half. I'm seriously thinking about getting one of those cutting machines like Stacy has. I just don't know where I'd put the dang thing.

Nice job!

You could also buy a rubber stamp and use fabric paint. The lack of space is what's kept me from getting one of those, too, but I'd be using it for fabric instead of paper.

It is a wee bit low (the design, that is) so it would be perfect for a pregnant women in her last trimester ;;D:love:
Good job - I don't know if I could do something like that - it takes patience

Hey, it worked! Wasn't sure if I could quote a post from a different thread.

Have finished up all the diapers I had cut out so now need to get going on the next ones. Here are the ones I've made so far except for the pirate one that my daughter has now.

Just read an article on average diaper use of a newborn- guess I blocked that # out of my mind! The article stated between 10 to 20 diapers per day. Is that for real?? Did I really hand wash that many?
It seemed like a big number to me but 36 is what my cousin told me she'd made for her daughters/grandchildren although that's not what they used daily. Most likely more per day when they're younger. I think I blocked that out of my memory, too, but I didn't hand wash them. They went into the washer/dryer!

They are amazing! You have a lot of talent Marsha. I was thinking the plain white cloth diapers but these are the
cadillac of diapers.

Ohmygosh, those are adorable! E is going to be the most fashionable baby in the county :) I especially like the baby chick fabric. Is that lining waffle weave muslin?

The lining is a microfiber fleece (super soft!) so that it will wick moisture into the inserts (I don't have those in for that picture) which are made of bamboo/hemp. I've got different size inserts so she can customize them, e.g. extra for night. I have some ballerina PUL that I'll be making next and am going to try some others with the fold-over elastic which looks like binding so is decorative as well as functional. Never tried that so may not work out. Have watched a how-to video that looked easy enough, though. We shall see. :smile2:

Those diapers are so damn professional looking. These ain't our mommas cloth diapers.
Thanks! They aren't even Baby E's momma's diapers! ;-D They sure have come a long way since then. It was a bit pricey but worth every penny to buy the pro version of the KAM snap pliers. I can (and have) used the snaps for other things as well so figured it would be a good long-term investment. I haven't used them yet but I also bought the special snaps and die to install them that enables you to snap together multiple layers, e.g. if you're making a cloth book with several pages like this:

I figure about this time next year I'll be working away on the "quiet books" (apparently that's what they're called these days). :smile2: Should be a good way to use up some fabric scraps.
Think of the possibilities- cognitive and tactile. Alphabet with sign language next to it/ animals/ touch and feel/ numbers/ endless possibilities. "Quiet Books"-- yep- the world moved on!
