Stephen pulled publication of Rage quite some time ago after a few school shootings so you won't find it. The only way you would be able to find it (legally) is on the secondary market, e.g. an older version of The Bachman Books. No freaking way!!! Don't believe in feeding parasites. The guy couldn't have added his middle name or initial, because 'Stephen King' is already a well-established author... so as not to confuse readers?

Stand-alone Rage. I have hardcover copies of The Bachman Books so forgot about the paperback edition of that one.
That's what I have. BB in paperback. Didn't seem like it should be rare, so thought I'd ask.
Favorites: The Stand, Wizard and Glass, Joyland, 'Salem's Lot, Different Seasons, It, The Colorado Kid
Least favorites: the 'alien' quartet (Tommyknockers, From a Buick 8, Dreamcatcher, Under The Dome--aliens do nothing for me, though I know plenty of people who love these books), The Regulators.
The jury is still out on Revival--I need to read it again to make up my mind.
You can easily get Rage in a Bachman Books compilation--the trade paperbacks are not hard to find, and are usually pretty cheap, even on EBay.

Thank you for your response. I guess I agree with you on the aliens theme. Tommyknockers and Dreamcatcher are less to my liking as well. Now that I think about, the alien stuff actually drove my mom away from King. I don't think she reads him anymore.

That book and The Dead Zone are my go-to recs for mature readers who still like a little bit of the eerie mixed in with a whole lot of realism.
Back in the days before e-readers, I had an acquaintance who noticed I was reading an SK novel and felt the need to comment that she would never read another SK work because of IT. Apparently she was personally affronted because that particular novel was not to her liking. It has always seemed odd to me that with such a prolific writer as King one would take a stance like that over one piece of work. I don't think my mom is in that category. She probably would like Dolores Claiborne and, I think, Joyland. The Dead Zone is one of her favorites
