Years ago on this forum I remember asking if SK would ever do something like Oprah's Book Club where he selects books. Today I just found out that Cemetery Dance publishing is launching a new line of books called the Cemetery Dance Gold Seal imprint, where Stephen King selects and introduces each book!

This is really exciting news for anyone who has ever bought a book just because it had a Stephen King blurb on the back! Steve has seldom steered me wrong so I'm psyched to see what books are coming out of this line. And the fact that he's writing an introduction for each book is the icing on the cake!

Well, I just can't afford to keep up with all of these books about/selected by, etc. of Steve. So, I won't be getting in line for these ones. Oh, and I TRIED to read Dark Debts when I received an ARC of it before it was published. All I can say is 'Eh'. Also, what does it mean that it's been 're-imagined'? Did she re-write it?

kingricefan on Amazon it states this is an anniversary edition. SK intro is what probably makes it extra special.
In Dark Debts, Karen Hall masterfully combines southern gothic, romantic comedy, and mystery in a wildly original theological thriller that has become a cult favorite since being published twenty years ago. In this new anniversary edition, the author has reimagined her work. The result is a suspenseful, irreverent, and deeply spiritual novel that captivates from the very beginning and doesn’t let go.

Yes, but what does 're-imagined' mean here? Is this something akin to what Dean Koontz did with his original sci-fi novel Demon Seed in which he basically re-wrote the entire novel years later?
