Does anyone know what SKs biggest selling book is? I'm thinking it may be The Shining but I don't think I've ever heard. There seems to be this weird fuzzy area about book sales for some reason.

I think there was a discussion about this a while back and someone named the title but I don't remember. I would guess It, but I don't think that was it (no pun intended).

Hey gang!

Brian Freeman from Cemetery Dance Publications here. Since there were some questions about what is in our edition of THE SHINING, I thought I would share this information:

• an introduction by Stephen King

• an afterword by Mick Garris

• the complete text of "Before the Play," Stephen King's 40 page prologue that has never appeared in any edition of The Shining, restored at the beginning of the book where King originally intended it to be published

• a Deleted Material section, which contains HUNDREDS of sentences, paragraphs, and even scenes not included in the final book we all know and love. Of particular interest is a four page section toward the end known as "After the Play," which most collectors believed had been lost forever

• an essay entitled, "The Shine Manuscript: An Early Draft of The Shining" by Jon Page, the collector who discovered all of the text we're including in the Deleted Material section

Please feel free to fire away if you have any questions about this special edition. Thanks!

Best wishes,
Brian Freeman

Our special edition of The Shining has gone from 528 to 568 pages with the new additional bonus material we're adding, which I mentioned above. We'll be sending the book to the printer by end of the month, so we're still okay for an October publication date!

What's the status of this? We are a little past October.

Here is the email update from April 12!

We are still right on track to have finished slipcases and traycases by the end of May, and we thought you might like to see a photo of the “approval slipcase” they sent us for confirmation of the materials, etc. Here is that photo:
