Glenn Chadbourne is an artist, not a publisher. Cemetery Dance often features his artwork in their books. Glenn did the endpaper illustrations for CD's limited edition of Doctor Sleep (the illustrations inside the front and back covers). Glenn also prepared a standalone dust jacket for the trade edition of Doctor Sleep, sold by Overlook Connection Press, but it's only the DJ, not the book.

Glen was the artist for the two volumes of The Secretary Of Dreams published by Cem Dance and his illustrations are magnificent in these two books! I really like the work he did in the limited edition of The Colorado Kid also.

glad you said that because I just ordered cemetery dance secretary of dreams volume 2. the thing is I still don't know if the books are just regular books with glen artwork or are they actually cemetery dance books. im confused if they are Stephen kings novels or not. I figured under contract anything he wrote would go thru scribner. if you can expand on this I would appreciate.

chief, this wiki link should explain exactly what you're getting:

The Secretary of Dreams - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

as for the 'turnaround time' gripe, ugh... it's maddening. when i first started ordering from them i had no idea. now i know what's ahead when i place an order. i currently have 8 SK-centric items on order with CD, most ordered over a year ago. hopefully they ship this year. Subterranean Press has a similar m.o.
once you acclimate to that nature of the 'small press' world, it's soooo worth it.

Secretary Of Dreams Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 contain numerous short stories written by King. Some are quite old and some are newer. They have been beautifully illustrated by Glen Chadborne thoughout the entire book(s). Cemetary Dance is the publsher of these two volumes, they don't own the rights to the stories or the artwork. King's publisher (at the moment Scribner) understand that his fans want lavishly produced volumes of his stories/novels and give him the leeway to let small press publishers produce these rare volumes. So, Scribner will publish upwards of a million copies his regular titles (meaning un-illustrated- or the type of book you'll find at Barnes And Nobles or Amazon) and a small press will publish upwards of a thousand of their signed/numbered/illustrated edition. Therefore, if there aren't many copies available and the demand for these types of books keeps growing, so will the cost of them. Donald Grant published The Gunslinger in 1982 in a 10,000 copy first edition with little fanfare (if you didn't subscribed to a couple of sci-fi magazines back then you wouldn't even have known about it) which quickly sold out. A year or so later it was listed in the 'Books By Stephen King' in the front of the hardback of Pet Semetary and Grant had to print a second edition of 10,000 copies. Even then the demand far outgrew the supply- hence these editions sell for hundreds of dollars on the secondary market. Hope this helps!
PS- you're gonna LOVE your Secretary Of Dreams!!
