Yes, they saved him, but that wasn't enough to make me feel good about him reclaiming the chattery teeth!
Agreed. I would have been a bit more wary. Perhaps he feels they would be good protection for his son. Or maybe a little bit like a pet. One that can go wacko and chomp your throat or as in the case of the green-gray eyed mean dude, bite in the bits.

What did you think about all the positive changes to the store and the "wife" after the husband died? It seemed like he was the good guy and I couldn't figure out how his dying was a good thing. (?)
I'm not sure. Were they both happy? I got a sense of resignation from the interplay between the two of them. She 'was grumpy from the change' and he 'was talking about her bit@hen'. Maybe they felt a change would happen soon, or maybe he knew he was going to die soon. I got the feeling the man was living in a nagging type hell. She was anxious much of the time and he didn't listen to her. God, I have just described my marriage.

I do think change occurs after someone dies. Sometimes good, sometimes not so good, but how the surviving member regroups and copes has a huge impact on moving forward in life.

You have described most of the marriages I know! ;;D Good points, though. Maybe they shared equally in the blame and her "blossoming" was freedom from their bickering and their hard marriage. (?) :umm:

I am sorry guys. I need to get off the computer to finish packing for this weekend trip. Thank you for helping me to feel calm in this storm for a few minutes. I'll be back some time Sunday evening. Take Care. (Send me good vibes and no rain for this weekend, please)
I felt so bad for Hogan, though-being such a softie and trying to help these wayward hitchhikers, and it goes from bad to worse for him. Such a sad testament about trying to show kindness in an unkind world!
You speak true, Sai.
