pegasus216, it might help to think of these threads as conversations among people with different likes and dislikes, different senses of humor, different points of view. Every thread gets off track a little, and then someone usually pulls attention back to the main topic. I like it because it's the way people talk, and it's like having a real conversation with my friends. If every post were about Chris Cornell, then some would feel they couldn't participate or be funny or say their opinion. And we don't want that on this board.
What would a Sunny Friday Man Thread be without some gentle ribbing from the guys on the board about the man's downfalls or what they don't like about him? My man Johnny Depp (well, Sundrop, I guess we can share) gets plenty of booing when his name is even mentioned, and we all take it in the fun and general humor of the board. Plus, you love Chris Cornell, and nobody else's opinion matters when it comes to who and what you like.

I post the Friday Special threads for fun. It makes me happy to know that someone else gets a chuckle or smile.
I expect and actually enjoy the hijacking and ribbing......it's all good clean fun to me! I can't imagine not having the guys poke fun at these things when I post them! If I posted one of these and OoO, DiO, Scott, or Swifty didn't poke fun, my feelings would be hurt!
