I'm so sorry to hear this devastating news. RIP Chris Cornell. You left us much too soon.
This is shocking. He was one of my favorites. He performed last night in Detroit and died suddenly sometime after that. I couldn't find anything about the circumstances only his representative releasing a statement saying he passed suddenly.

I was heartbroken when Prince died, but Chris' passing has hit me harder than anything.

The band just did a show in Detroit last night, and the last song they did was 'Slaves And Bulldozers'. That is my ringtone on my phone.
Two places in Detroit are saying it was sucide. I do not believe that at all. He loved his wife, and kids to much to do that. It can't be drugs either, because he quit doing all that in 2002.

I've been a fan since the early nineties. I saw them opening for Guns N Roses in '92 in Rotterdam and was standing in front of the stage. Chris Cornell spat from the stage, right on my head. At the time i thought that was really cool, bragged to all my friends, '' Chris Cornel spat in my hair!'' Now i would find that really disgusting of course...
