It's been suggested in the past to create a Christmas card exchange. Not much came of it, but I thought I'd bring it up this year, too.

I don't suggest that anybody post their home address on the internet. It's too dangerous. But if folks have a post office box or other mailing address that poses no risk, how do people feel about exchanging cards in the real world? We can certainly post 'em here, regardless.

If folks choose to participate, probably the best idea will be to send their postal details to each other by private message. :)

I sent cards to several folks here last Christmas. I'm planning on adding to my mailing list this year.
If anyone would like to exchange cards, just send me a PM with your address! I love sending cards.

This sounds like fun. If only it were plausible.
Why is it not?
Count me in if we do it. :)
Me too :)
I vote for Secret Santa-It was good.
That too. :)
Will I get in trouble if I put my mailing address on here? I'll pitch it out there, and if anybody else would like to add theirs, I'll be happy to send cards. I don't think it's extinct. I love sending cards.

It's just not a good idea to do that. This forum is visible to everyone whether they are a member or not so even guests (and web spiders) are able to pick it up. As FlakeNoir suggested, it's better for everyone to share addresses (or any other personal information that shouldn't be out there for public knowledge) in PMs/Conversations.

I would love to do either or both(cards or secret Santa). Our card list has also been whittled way down too and while it saves on postage I kind of miss sending them out.If anyone wants to pm me their addy I will add you to my "Stephen King" pals adress book----- yes it's a real thing.I also have a "Miniature Friends " adress book. Both of these contain more adresses than my own family adress book!

So Sundrop, stacy270 Lepplady you are definatly in on the christmas card exchange?

mcpon14 , prufrock21 and king family fan do you want to join the fun. Sorry if you already said so and I just didn't get it.:a11:

I could start a conversation then. One can invite up to five members.

I love sending Christmas cards! I sent out a bunch last year, and even received two or three.
I'll send a card to anyone who sends me their address. :)

I'm completely up for it. Anybody that would like to exchange cards, hit me up in PM and we can exchange mailing addresses. :)
