Those look great Neesy! I think squares count just fine.

Forgot to mention earlier that I used parchment paper based on the feedback on this thread. I hadn't used it before and LOVE it! Thanks folks!
I made another recipe that is quite easy as well - you just need condensed milk, graham cracker crumbs, coconut and walnuts.
(I fancied mine up a bit with butterscotch chips on top).

I actually made these in the morning on Friday before work and brought them in while they were still warm. By 1130 just before our luncheon I cut them up into bars.

Quick Hurry Bars
2 cups (500 ml) graham cracker crumbs
1-1/2 cups (325 ml) flaked coconut
1 cup (250 ml) chopped walnuts
11 oz. (300 ml) Sweetened condesnsed milk

Combine graham crumbs, coconut and walnuts in a medium bowl. Add condensed milk and stir well. Scrape into a well-greased 8x8-inch (20x20-cm) pan. Bake in 350-deg. F. (175-deg. C.) oven for 40 minutes or until wooden pick unserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Store, covered, airtight. Cuts into 25 squares.

I love squares, Neesy! Just not doing any this year for some reason. I probably should have; it would have made my life easier. Today I got interrupted, but tomorrow I'm doing sugar cookies and some more salted chocolate chip. Seven kinds, plus the two breads. I think that might be enough. Maybe.

snicker doodle surprises (they have a rolo melted inside!)

What a wonderful idea! I love Rolos and have wondered if they could be used in cookies or brownies :) One year I tried putting broken up pieces of Heath Bars in that Mrs Meadows (fake Mrs Fields) cookie recipe. They did not turn out well, they were as sticky gooey as a Slowpoke candy sucker lol.

I've also wondered if cut up pieces of Werther's Original Chewy Caramels could be used in cookies. I think you should try it first :)

LOL Ok, but not today!

The verdict is... the rolos do better in a thicker dough. I usually do them in peanut butter and they melt alot. They tended not to spread out as much in the snickerdoodle dough. Go figure!

Good night all! I am going to bed now.

These sound delicious, Neesy!
