No.no the hubby's boss gave us some of his Deer.

Well I did eat deer sausage in Alberta when I was there (with mustard!) but unfortunately I have no recipes for it Lin
You can use it any way that you'd use beef, but make sure you cut off every bit of fat (if it has any)--that's what gives wild meat a 'gamey' taste. You can use beef fat, lard, or shortening if you fry it. Deer makes really good stew!
Thanks it is all processed and package. Got some sausage,burger and steaks. made some omelets with sausage and a pot of chilli. Figured I will use some when my company comes at Christmas time.
Try not to overcook, it's best (and incredibly tender) when it's rare, it will melt in your mouth.
(or so they say, I don't like it myself, working in the venison plant put me off)

My version of Goulash using ground deer meat: Any kind of noodles you like, cooked, two large cans of Rotel, pick your own heat, brown your meat, combine all with seasonings of your choice and heat.
Well have decided to send the guys to a football game as I had won some tickets. Had to buy a couple parking passes.Not sure what us lady's are going to do. Perhaps alot of catching up.Maybe some crafts and last minute grocery shopping. My daughter has offered to do our hair. She is a beautican. So it shall all work itself out. Must get my behind in gear this week and get my decorating done.
Getting burnt out. Got all the lights outside up and decorations. The one stran of lights was not working.So switched it and then that one quit working. Turn around and it was working.WTH?
Finishing up the inside decorating today. The son has Santas secret workshop and the school never sent him the info. on it. So I went in today thinking >I would shop with him. as he needs to get for ten people so must budget. Nope can't till tomorrow. I think this is to get at me. As with my eyes,I am no longer a PTO member. I also could not volunteer to work the Santa workshop as my company starts coming Thursday.They never like my son pre-view the ideas Friday,even though they said everyone got the chance and they sent home money envelopes. NOT he doesn't have one. I am stressing hoping this isn,t how it all will turnout.

I have decided to use the movie basket as a gift for everyone. We will watch some Christmas Classics and enjoy the snacks. Then each child will keep a movie.We will be making several of the craft ideas.

I am wrapping gifts this morning. Taking a much needed break. Trying to even out the kids gifts. Maybe have to buy a couple more little things for that to happen.

Things come together when they have to, and the best part is that you get to be together. Stuff is fine, but I guarantee it's the events and that time that the kids will remember for years. Tightest hugs to you and all!
