Must be lovely, both the lights and the pepparkakor (lol). We used to be able to buy them at Christmastime from Restoration Hardware, but they closed :( Must remember to make an IKEA trip before the big day--lol.
You could try the traditiuonal "Lussekatt" too. Its a kind of saffronbun with a couple of raisins in them.

They are yummy too. Only to be found around this time of year.

Here, there and everywhere.
....at my home went from bare to there.
This is a teaser. I'll post the full effect when it's dark and I've had a chance to take photographs using nothing but Christmas tree lights for the illumination.

More when decorations, including the famous birdman Lance, are complete.

The fat man's comin', y'all. :biggrin-new:

...wow Lily!...your place makes mine look like a complete hovel.....we have a couple of poinsettia placemats out and a mini-live Christmas tree on the table...and the tree has become the life's purpose of my cat Calvin-he is deforesting it every chance he gets...and to be fair, we aren't in a rush, because my son has leave AFTER Christmas,we'll be having our gathering then-so we can just kind of plug along till he gets here...also, I'm just very melancholy and out of sorts about decorating at all this season...not sure why...I honestly could give a good rip if we EVER decorate, and that bugs me-coz I'm a professional grump & curmudgeon but not a Humbug...
Sorry to hear this - I have not gotten into the Christmas spirit yet either.

No. :biggrin2: -The house has an atrium, and the atrium has a mural painted all the way around it. It was a birthday present to the wife of the previous owner, and my parents decided to not paint over it when they moved in. The walls are very tall in that room (about 25 feet), and the feel is lofty when you walk in. The view over the top of the bare tree is the door to my room off the gallery. You'll see more when I've had a chance to take more pictures that are worth anything. :)

Alrighty then. Full-on tree, daytime and nighttime. Lance the Bird Man. Yes, he's wearing jingle balls -I mean bells. Little wildlife tree, with only birds, varmints, and straw ornaments. Mantel with magnolia in living room.

Have yourselves a merry little Christmas! ♥

Lance look like a beaked deathgod or something. Imagine stumbling on to him in the night....

That is beautiful! I am NOT showing this picture to my boyfriend, Mr. Christmas Tree, as I fear he would leaf me.
