Code Words.

Good evening.

Does anyone still have code words?

I'll try to explain.

When my son was young we had a code word to let him know something was safe and another if there was danger. It was an *innocuous* word that could easily be introduced into a conversation and let each other know if the situation was safe or if we should alert the authorities.

He is now a young adult but we still have our code words.

(Not being paranoid but understand the reality of a sometimes dangerous world.)

I used one for my staff at the homeless shelter if they felt threatened and did not want to say it in front of some dangerous person. They would phone the office and say Black Cat...the office person would call the cops.
