Somebody mentioned Undeclared, which came in the wake of another great show, Freaks and Geeks, which portrayed high school in America about as well as I've seen it done.

We used to get Benny on PBS late-night weekends when I was a teenager, and I will admit to watching primarily because there were always women running around in their "knickers."

That . . . and I never tired of watching Benny slap the old man on top of his bald head.

Ok, I confess we watched Benny Hill and there were parts that were pretty funny but I liked The Three Stooges, too, so my taste in entertainment may be in question.
Well, being that the Three Stooges are arguably the most popular and influential comedy institution in Hollywood history, I’d say your taste in entertainment is pretty darn good.

A little know fact was the Three Stooges immense popularity was deemed such a potential threat to the credibility of The Third Reich that Adolf Hitler added them to his personal death list because of their portrayal of him.

Not to mention the best series finale I've ever seen. ;-D
Are you referring to the series finale of Newhart, the one where he was the owner of the Inn in New Hampshire? Just wondered 'cause you quoted someone who was referring to the original Bob Newhart show where he lived in New York with Suzanne what's-her-name. Jerry played the dentist playboy who's office wason the same floor as Bob's.
