Thank you so much, everyone for your kind words and for keeping us in your thoughts last week.
My Grandpa is at peace. He looked at peace. It was a very nice service. Most of the grandkids and even a few of the great-grandkids wrote little messages full of good memories that the minister read. Had me laughing through tears, some of them. And I saw quite a few people I had not seen for years and years, people from our church growing up. And my brother! Haven't seen him in about 5 years, he lives a solitary existence and doesn't come home much.
We had mostly good roads on the trip there and back. There were a few bad places but we made it safely.
My Grandma is doing ok, she is taking it minute by minute. Not making any big decisions yet about the house or her life going forward and I am glad she is taking her time, that is important not to rush through.
Thank you for everything, knowing you all were thinking of us gave me strength. Sending you all my love.

What a deep hole your Granddad leaves, but he had a good life and loved all of you and all of his animals and he leaves that love for you to cherish and to get you through. Gran will need extra special support in the coming days. ((((Cat and family))))
