This is the best video ever taken of Ceres, the dwarf planet between Jupiter and Mars. 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) across, it's too big and round to be considered an asteroid, and is only 10% smaller than Pluto, the former "ninth" planet demoted to dwarf planet. What's even cooler is that we're going to get even better pictures in the coming weeks as the Dawn spacecraft is set to intercept and hopefully orbit Ceres in March! Who knows what secrets this little world could hold?
