I've seen only part of that movie, haven't read the book. I'm a lousy CR.Probably, but I was thinking about Cold Mountain.
The first time I read the book, I wasn't sure what to think. Then I found that it had gotten under my skin; I kept thinking about the characters. So I read it again, and now it's one of my favorite books. As far as the movie, all performances were top notch. If I remember correctly, don't you like Philip Seymour Hoffman? He was so good in the remake of Alfie. Still love the original better, but he brought more vulnerability to the character and I felt terribly sorry for him.
