This marlin was created with fishing crates, water bottles, fishing poles, a toilet seat, beer and soda cans, plus some various plastic items - all collected from trash washed ashore on our beaches.

Wasn't my beer cans. Where's the toilet seat?
I kinda thought the white ring on its neck might be it, but I'm not sure.

The group is called the Washed Ashore project, and is based out of Bandon, Oregon. This non-profit group that aims to educate people about the issue of trash and debris in our oceans through art. Under the leadership of lead artist Angela Haseltine Pozzi, the community works together to collect the trash from our beaches and Pozzi then takes these items to create stunning sculptures of marine wildlife.

You are wise beyond your years.......but I did get a good tip on a horse one time. Although I thought it was odd that the horse was named Royal Flush.

On a side note - the Queen turned 90 on the 21st of April - she hasn't been "on the throne" all those years, but a good many of them, at least!

(59 years, I think)

I friggin' love the royal family. Especially after the Queen's lady-in-waiting wrote me back on palace stationery.
Very nice!

Here in Canada it used to be that when you turned 100 you would get a letter from the Queen.

I got the Queen's Golden Jubilee medal back when I was in the military in 2002. Since I had never seen active combat it was nice to get a bit of recognition. I guess "the desk jockeys" play in role in keeping things going too!

Mine is the fifth from the left, with the blue ribbon and gold coin.
