What happened?

Had flooding in the Valley for about 6 weeks, a 10 day reprieve and then the wildfires started. We had lots of help from Alberta, Ontario and Fort Mac. The Armed Forces were called in from the base in Trenton,Ontario and
those people are unsung heroes. They came in, did the job, and left. It has been a hell of summer in
Kelowna. So many sent in truckloads of supplies, we had no running water for 2 weeks. The first few days
Fort Mac sent down $250,000 in truckloads of supplies, everything you can think of. One truckload was
solid with baby stuff-diapers,wipes,ointments,toys,baby blankets. People were loading their own pick ups in
Alberta and driving down with gasoline for the firetrucks. God bless all of you, Canada does help their own.
