Cormoran Strike? Rowling? I read the first three HP-books and felt this is not for me. Read The Casual Vacancy and was waiting the whole novel for something that didn't happen. Who is CS? Judging from your reactions he seems like a real stud/looker!

He is the main character of Rowling's The Cuckoo's Calling and the latest one in the series, can't remember the name of it. Wonderful character and story. I am giving her credit for inspiring our Steve to write his own version with Mr. Mercedes.

The Silkworm. I liked it even more than The Cuckoo's Calling, and I liked that one quite a bit :)

Kurben , for me it's not so much that Cormoran is handsome (I'm not actually sure that he would be considered traditionally handsome), but that he's strikingly well characterized--a strong, smart, moral character (without being angelic). Rowling (writing as Robert Galbraith) did very well with him.

Here, there and everywhere.
There's a British character actor, and I have such a clear picture of him in my head, who would be perfect as CS. I can't remember if he was in Bridget Jones or Notting Hill, but he wasn't one of the primary characters. He was tall and not fat, but husky, with rosy cheeks and black hair and eyes and a big nose. I've scoured IMDB, looking at every British movie from Four Weddings and a Funeral to Love, Actually, but I can't find him. He looked like he could have been a much younger cousin of Stephen Fry, with pale skin and dark features. It's driving me mad!

I always pictured the body guard that was in the 'accident' that killed Princess Diana as Cormoran.

I know exactly who you're talking about, but I can2006-2980FavinoPierfrancesco_IMG_x900.jpg 't remember his name or what I was him on! This is the closest I could come (but he's a bit too handsome):
