Deej, I see your example as different from the Cecil one. When I have more time maybe I'll better understand what I mean and can explain it.
Mine is in poor taste too, I know it, but I find it funny. I'm sure I would insult a lot of people wearing it -- shriner's, shriner's loved ones and people who have benefited from their wonderful generosity.

Who knows, maybe if I had kids of my own I might not laugh. But I doubt it. Maybe it goes back to my love and respect for animals and hatred for the abuse of them, which I perceive in the killing of Cecil as well as that disgusting costume.

Mercy - horrible and a loud statement on our media culture.

How about you be a belly dancer? I want a belly dancer costume this year. I would be the scariest costume on the block.
I won't like that, because you're full of what makes the grass grow ;)

I want to learn to belly dance! It looks like fun, and I know it would be a good workout--I did a couple of demo classes a couple of years ago and it's tougher than it looks

and I too find that one disgusting. I don't find it funny at all. Or clever. But yes, we all have our lines in the sand and they are going to be different. Because we're unique humans that way.

Not to mention, parents, grandparents, candy makers, car dealers and the staff at the Shriner's hospital!

yikes.
