I was curious about the selection of the potential astronauts. One guy has a wife and family he said he would be willing to leave behind. I was wondering, could you do it? Could you leave your loved ones behind for a one way trip to another planet, never to return?

Whoever said that must've just gotten off the phone with divorce attorney. I certainly wouldn't leave loved ones behind, though it's easy for me to say as I've never longed to be on another planet, moon, asteroid, etc.
