Ok.blunthead , I don't understand this in the context of this thread. Are you taking some sort of shot against me? Sorry if this isn't the case, but my nerves are unraveled right now. PM me.
The Boomtown Rats did a wicked version of this song as well. Also 'Streetheart' a Canadian prairies band.Rolling Stones original
Social Distortion cover
I prefer the Social D version. The crowd goes absolutely bonkers when they play this live. Social D shows are always a blast
I respectfully disagree with you, bryras! I LOVE Disturbed's version. It is so powerful, the way it builds. Brings the lyrics alive, at least for me, way more than the original.I'm going to dust this thread off. Almost a year since anyone has posted. I heard this the other day... and I know it's been out for a while, but I'm just getting to it.
I appreciate Disturbed and their attempt, but really unnecessary IMO.

I like Disturbed quite a bit, they are distinctive and you always know who you're listening to, but I was quite pleasantly surprised at how well David Draiman sings without the rasp! I would like to hear more of it too, but I do love his raspy voice.I'm not a fan of Disturbed, but I like that cover. They should try some original stuff in the same style.
