Oh, the newbies will be thrilled!!!!!! 
No, I was talking about the bar next to the beach at the hotel, and the other bars at adjacent hotels (gotta check out all the different specials, ya know
). I was advised to go to Secrets, but we didn't make it there last year. We usually went to a place called the Greene Turtle for nightcaps as it was a short walk from the hotel. And one evening, after perhaps having one too many, I swore I saw Maturin.
Thanks, I guess. But I'd rather be subjected to cheap wine and Poi.DiO's daily dose of sunshine and joy.......
I think Secrets is over rated any way. But it is the most popular bar in town.

You do know now if I actually see someone with a bouquet of daisies, I'll have to say "Pegasus, is that you?"

My prayers have been answered! I called and talked to the doctor. Told him he was going to make my life a living hell next week if my wife wasn't allowed to have a social drink all week on vacation. I asked him if it were possible to switch the one medication for another that didn't have such bad side effects. I said if he couldn't, would he prescribe some Valium for me with having to deal with her. He laughed and said he fully understood where I was coming from. He stopped the two medications, and called in a prescription for one pill in place of the two, and which she can drink socially. And I'm temporarily in good graces with the wife. The power of prayer works... PROOF there is a God.
(But with my luck, I'll probably get hit by a bus while picking up the prescription.)

...how about a Mesalamine Mimosa?.....Thanks everyone. It ended up only being Colitis. She waited too long to see the doctor and started bleeding internally. Unfortunately no alcohol whatsoever allowed with one of her antibiotics while on vacation. So no beer poolside, no foofy drinks at the tiki bar, and no wine at dinner. She’ll be in a great mood! I don’t know how I’ll survive her for a whole week. I may have to make a swim for Tahiti.
I just switched my plans to go the following week. Yeah, I'm going with that...

Mesalazine, also known as mesalamine or 5-aminosalicylic acid, is an anti-inflammatory drug used to treat inflammatory bowel disease, such as ulcerative colitis and mild-to-moderate Crohn's disease.....(toothpick parasol, optional).....I don't know what that is, but if it comes on the rocks and with one of those silly little umbrellas, I'll sure give it a try.

Got called home Friday afternoon because my wife was having a bad reaction to her meds. Saturday her doctor sent her to the emergency room and we spent most of the day at the hospital. Sunday had a problem at work so had to spend the morning there. Then mowing the property all afternoon. I made dinner and spent the evening running around shopping do the trip. Monday she felt a little better and was able to go on vacation but has to take it easy and not do too much walking. My brother and his family also went on vacation with us. We got to the resort Monday evening. Our room and reservations were fine but my sister in law screwed up theirs. And all the rooms are booked solid. They spent the night in our room... 8 people. Hopefully today we can get things sorted out.
