Daredevil. Not the movie. Thank goodness.

It's a Netflix series, produced by Marvel.

The violence once in a while is a little over the top for our tastes. But that's the 2%. The other 98% has us quite interested. It's a compelling series, on the comic book side but not over the top, with sly little references to other events in the Marvel universe, without letting them intrude into the show.

We're about four episodes into it. D'Onofrio is making his presence known (and with one scene that hits that 2%). Good stuff.

We went on a bit of a hiatus, partly because it was kinda brutal for us....

Stop there. Those who watch Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, the various HBO and Showtime series, or even 24, wouldn't think it was brutal at all. We just have a lower tolerance for brutal.

.... but we picked it up again, and crapaholymoly, it has us captive. We finished tonight's episode, and Grandma, encroaching on her beloved Elementary time, just said, "Oh, play the next one."

Good, complex, layered, action-filled, drama-filled, scenery-chewing stuff.

Finished the season, and yeah, it was a good wrap-up, we really liked it, and now we're hungry for the next season.

LOVE him! Will check it out now for sure.

Once his role gets ramped up, he gets as much screen time as the main character. I have to say, he's really good at it. He's got me convinced.
