just wondering does it have to be or can you skip one?

You should really read them in order. One exception could be The Gunslinger. A lot of people have a problem with that one because it's not like anything King has written and are turned off by it. If you should be one of them, skip to book two, The Drawing of the Three, then go back to The Gunslinger. It will all come clear.

Finished DT 7!! This series was a great ride. So happy I finally read this.

I cried a little. Especially when Oy died. Eddie and Jake happened so fast but it wasn't surprising. I liked the plot of SK adding himself to the story a little better this time around. The way he wrote in his car accident and how Roland was pissed off at him. He didn't make himself out to be a hero which I was glad about although I didn't quiiite understand how he was able to leave a note in Dandelos bathroom for Susannah but whatever. I'm glad he did. Lol. I thought the ending was great. Ka-Tet together again. Exccept Roland of course. I really did almost stop in the last few pages when SK is asking if we really want to know what happens to Roland and that it won't be happy. Of course I kept reading. As he was going up the Tower steps I thought to myself that perhaps he has done this before. My favorite illustrations were in this book as well, especially the one that shows all five of them together and happy before Eddie gets shot. Started TWTTKH and am glad I saved it for last.

Awesome! thank you! I don't know where my friend got it but she knew I would love it. Now that it's been found perhaps a frame would come in handy so I don't forget it again :a11:
You can pick up an inexpensive plexiglass frame along the lines of...

...which will allow you to protect the post card as well as view both sides of it.

I've added a thought to your Spoiler...

...remember, the Stephen King character was actively writing the story, so he could write the note.

Another question =D
I know there are several Dark Tower reference books from Bev Vincent and Robin Furth. Anyone have a recommendation as to these? Maybe we can stay unbiased since Bev is on here from time to time...;)

Both have excellent ref. books-
The Road to the Dark Tower- Bev Vincent
The Dark Tower- a Concordance by Robin Furth

must haves for Dark Tower followers.

im going to start these pretty soon as well but im getting to spread out.. im currently reading salems lot, the associate. sycamore row and odd Thomas so im going to wrap at least 3 of these before I dick butkus these but I was thinking about reading them in order. I mistakenly bought 4 of them in a set and thought they were hardcover and got them and they were paperback. I only read hardcover. my eyes just don't like the gray background and smaller print. plus the hc just hold up over time and while reading. I was hoping to find all 7 here. I was told there was a buy sell thing here somewhere. I picked up wind thru a keyhole at the bookstore on clearance for some odd reason for 7 bucks. so yea, unless someone has a different reason why I am going to reading in order of publication.

Wilmington DE, strange little place.
it makes no difference , I would never want to read wind-keyhole
before I read wizard and glass. but other then that ...read it last if you like
or anytime after wizard/glass.

on another note ...have any of you heard what Mr king says
about "spoiler hyper-baby" people ???
