I'm more than happy to give or receive comments, recommendations and other valuable insights into all sorts of things, of which SK's books are far from least. But I've got to be honest, I have little time for drama queenery. If someone genuinely decides not to read any more SK because his nose is out of joint because that book doesn't have the note aimed personally at him (and me and millions of others, OK, "impersonally" may be a better word) then that is entirely his choice, dumb as it may seem to me. Good luck. If he then decides to announce it as he flounces out of the room, my response tends to be, "Bye - don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out."

Hey I'm just as gushy about Mr. King as the next guy --maybe more (but hopefully they will have meds for that soon), but the reality is...we don't know him. We think we know him, we want to know him but we never will, really. To say you are not going to read Stephen King because you didn't get a note from him is like saying you are going to not going to eat the ice cream because the box is blue. What The Freak? I can enjoy the roller coaster ride without I needing a kiss from the seven fingered carny with the lisp who's at the controls.
