I read the News just now about the hoax regarding Mr. King.

From what I understand the hoax was started on Face Book

Stephen King dead 2016 : ‘The Dark Tower’ author killed by celebrity death hoax - Mediamass

Maybe I'm a little hyper but this is some stoopid crap. If I had heard of this while driving or at work I would have had some difficulty. I don't think it's cute, or funny or cool.

If it was someone's idea of a joke or to get Likes or votes or whatever the he!! you get on Face Book for being an idiot, well it's ugly.

(I really, really would like to know who and why.)

I think that it's made worse by the fact that we had the real-life near-death experience once already.

I don't want to post a link, but I saw the Mediamass reported it was an online hoax started by Facebook.

Not sure if they reported it as true earlier, though.

I am still wondering about Cher. I never heard about Stephen. People who do this should be jailed. It is not funny. It creeps me out because of wish fullfillment and stuff like that. Not funny at all. I would have had chest pains if I heard about Uncle Stephen.....bad enough if it was real.

I agree. Somebody that would do such a thing wants two things: To create drama and get attention. If they get neither, they've wasted their time. I like that thought.

They do this all the time on the front page of yahoo. I don't know why this is my homepage.

It will be a picture.. 'We say goodbye to Betty' It's ad. 'Cher fans grieving'... It's a ad.
