Sorry for your loss, Frank. I don't think you should feel guilty. It wasn't your fault.
It's very hard to lose the ones we love. I'm so sorry, (((Frank))) & (((Neesy))) too.
My younger brother died at the age of 15 - I was there in the house at the time - later on I felt guilty (thinking maybe there was something I could have done to help him)

Dear, sweet Frank..... I am so sorry that you lost your sister this way. Please don't feel guilty. She knew you loved her and would have been there if you could have been. I do understand this feeling you're having..... I lost my brother in a car accident in 1998, and have spent a lot of time wondering if I should have done things differently. I told him to take this job, and told him to show up on time, etc because a client of mine had arranged it. He died on his way home on his first day. In the end, one of his friends told me that my brother knew I loved him, and that he loved me more than anything, and he wouldn't want me feeling guilty.....even though it is still difficult, I'll give you that same advice now. You are in my thoughts and prayers. If you want to vent, you can PM me anytime.....

Thanks - I made chicken and dumplings the way she used to, in a sort of tribute to her. She was a great Mom.

Today is my brother's birthday. He would be 46......
Love and peace and healing to all here who have lost loved ones. I understand - the guilt, the regret for things not said, the wondering, anger, grief and sadness. Time doesn't heal, in my experience, but sharing with friends who understand and remembering the good times does make it easier.
