The part that made me sick or (cringe, or physically ill) was when Johnny took a broom to her pregnant abdomen and forced her to have a miscarriage.
Morgan, did you read the nugget in the back of the book (page 803-804)?
I thought she just told Johnny that to get him to leave her alone. She miscarried her first pregnancy, but not her second, which resulted in "Pete."
