Well, I do have an account here, but I can't seem to find my intro thread, so here goes, once again!

Been reading King since I was a junior in high school - lo these many years ago - and recently read From A Buick 8 and just knew I had to come back to this board and see what people are saying about that particular book.

Been some 20K new posts since I've been here so I have some catching up to do!

Perhaps if someone on the staff can find my original intro thread and merge it with this one, if it matters to anyone? Thanks!

So what DO you think of Harold Lauder?

Welcome back Smooth

Welcome back, I guess.

This is actually kind of serendipitous. I've been thinking about Deja Vu since I came back here myself to find out something I already knew.

I found myself in one of the story threads recently talking about the ending of some movie and I got this wicked jolt of dislocation, like I was outside myself watching me type this response that it seemed I had done before.

Because -- of course -- I had.

Newer members might find it odd that the actual story threads don't really generate much discussion here. That would appear to be because the long-timers here have already hashed everything over and don't much feel (I'm guessing) like repeating themselves. That's why we need to make a concerted effort to get the more voluble posters here (like me, for instance . . . and perhaps you) to stop talking about kittens and puppies and Johnny Freakin' Depp and get with the business of deconstructing Harold Lauder.

Or . . . you know . . . whomever.

Either that . . . or I am entirely wrong.

"get with the business of deconstructing Harold Lauder."

See post 27 above - I got a bit confused :D:umm::wow:
