OK, i'll bite. A reader, hopeless in the kitchen, loves slow walks in beautiful nature, An archaoelogy and history nerd, Tries to be friendly to everybody, bad at sleeping, loves old movies. Have a tendency to lose things in my apartment, Love a good steak with potatoes and a good sauce.... Don't drink coffee, play floorball, not a big talker but a good listener if needed. If workfree has a tendency to be lazy in a corner with a book.

Cooking, cats and reading are my life. Worked with the homeless and cooked in eateries as a chef part time. Stopped working because of health. I am very even tempered. I have a sense of humour and I laugh a lot. Easy peasy lemon squeesy. No anger from me ....I am laid back.

Curious, creative, calm. I love reading, sometimes I write (horror & fantasy). I make notebooks for myself and for my friends.

Maybe this will sound weird, but I love talking to animals. A few days ago I was in a bookstore and made friends with a gorgeous little fluffy thing that looked a lot like this. I gave him a belly rub.

Describe yourself. Are you happy-go-lucky? Generally angry? A farmer? Blue-collar? White-collar? No-collar? Nature lover? Reader? Thinker?

In your own words, who are you and what makes you tick?

Pictures not needed, but welcome if posted.
I am trying to deal with the accidental death of my 18 year old daughter. She had just started a course in Forensic Science at Sheffield Hallam University. Therefore I need somebody to invent a time machine so I can correct this mistake. I used to live a life which included art and literature nd creativity but at this point in time I am capable of nothing except reading and watching old British sitcoms. My daughter Caroline Hazel Everest died on the 22nd of November 2015. A date which is famous for death, tragedy, and the loss of potential greatness. I called my little girl Carrie .... and I miss her so much

I am a happier person now than what I used to be. Someone has made my life wonderful again!
I am retired, so I don't do a whole lot of anything any more.
I've had some serious health issues over the last few years, but I am doing better now.
I get my feelings hurt easily.
I watch a lot of westerns, and a lot of animal shows when they are on.
That is about it for me.

I am so sorry for your loss. There is no greater pain a parent would have to bear than the loss of their child. May time heal your heart.

Firstly my apologies for liking you post as a reflex action - it was meant to show solidaity/sympathy.

I have no words capable of expressing my sympathy for you - this is unimaginable and I cannot begin to understand the depths of your grief. One of my friends lost his son two years ago in a cycling accident and have never seemed quite the same man since.

I can only hope and wish you find some sort of peace and can reach a point when you can rememebr your daughter with love and joy.

...man, I suck at self-description.....but I'll give it a whirl....I am a grouch with a quick temper, I have a complete lack of patience. I possess a good heart underneath all the bluster, I can cry as easily as I laugh, my family is my world, I have many acquaintances, but only a handful of true friends, my feelings are easily hurt and my self-image is poor, I love Jeeps and guns, critters of all kinds and have been a lifelong reader...beer and pizza is a good fancy meal for me and I kidnapped the Lindbergh baby......

I am so sorry. Just keep yourself moving one foot in front of the other, every day. It can take a long time to really care about anything, but, you fake it till you make it. And you will. RIP Carrie

Ok, besides "lifelong reader" (and maybe the kidnapping thing) you just described my husband perfectly.

I'd describe myself as passionate...about my family, friends, reading, sex, food and my stance on various issues (not always in that exact order).

Many prayers for you, Chris Everest.
I had a son to die when he was 6 months old, and there is not a day that goes by that I don't remember him. It does get easier to bear, and then the memories flood in. I don't have many memories of him, but you have 18 years worth.
