I haven't been on here in the last 2 years due to losing my mom. I just couldn't function for awhile and having lost her to cancer, I'm sure y'all understand how hard it is to read Stephen King. It seems like so many of his stories involve a cancer sufferer. Anyway, I came lurking around this weekend and I'm so happy to see so many old faces and love that there are so many new ones. I feel like I'm home again.
Back to my reason for starting this, my son's girlfriend borrowed 22 of my SK books, promising to bring them right back, well, of course, they have become victims of a senseless violence. Her home burned and they went up in a blaze of glory. Needless to say, she is no longer around so no hope in getting my babies replaced that way. I've decided to start completely over and get hardcovers where possible, but am out of the loop. Any thoughts or opinions on which company has the best versions? I bought the cemetery dance edition of Carrie and just love it, but I don't want to mess it up so I'm thinking about picking up some paperback copies of my missing ones for reading, but will no longer be lending.
Welcome back! So very sorry you've had a rough couple of years and extend my sympathies on the loss of your mom.
