What the hell is this sprouting from my plant?

It has grown 2 meters in 4weeks - i am thinking day of the triffids. Saw something similar on 'lost' they look huge- any green fingered herbal guru out there??? Vulch??? Is itJurassic asparagus ??

Agree, looks like a yucca plant to me. Have several in my yard.

Looks like some sort of Yucca plant.....they grow a really tall spike which produces some really cool white flowers.

I have those growing out of my Yukka's too! My step-mum came round one day and saw them and was very jealous as hers have never done this. She claimed they only do this once every 7 years, but they grew 2 years running for me!!
