My 9 year old likes kisses on the lips, still, but the others are 'too big'. 21 went through a stage where he wouldn't even accept hugs (and I've never thought a kid should have physical intimacy forced on them), but now he's okay with it. He never was a hugger, though--he'd lean his head on you & that was a 'Josh hug'. When he wants 'cuddles', he asks for his back to be scratched :) Works for me, if that's what he's most comfortable with.

Thank you for your replies!

We used to kiss our son on the lips when he was a little kid. Some time between...5-7 years old (?) it changed to a peck on the cheek. I don't remember how it happened (I would have thought for sure I would remember it.) it just did.

(Our cultural thing, no matter what age, our kids always wait for our blessing. Going to off to school, work, out of the house ... if we don't say it right away they will wait for our, "God bless you." I always await my elders "Dios te bendiga" :blues: It's a nice, comforting custom for us. :))

Have a great week!
