Flake, is this some new electric slide style formation NZ is utilizing? :)

Even i know that is the Haku dance they do before the game. My reason for cheering for NZ btw.......

Is the Haku dance Down Under's version of the Electric Slide? :)
What is the Electric Slide?? I'm a novice and we really should wait for Flake, the expert, but i think Haku express some kind of national pride at the samet time as it is intended to give the opponents something else than their game to think abput. I mean imagine seeing that just before kickoff.... you cant help thinking about wth that was about and before you know it NZ is up with 10 points.

The Electric Slide is kind of the same thing here in the US regarding a level of acceptable dance pride (usually preformed by a group of females of the species), but instead of opponents being taken out, our version usually has cast members taking each other out after mass quantities of alcohol are consumed. :)

Well... I didn't know what the Electric Slide was until just now... thanks for that Dio. ;;D
Actually the formation the boys used during the Haka before their first game the other day was completely new! I've never seen them fan out behind the captain like that before... I'm still trying to decide if I actually liked it or not.

They will be playing again (against Namibia) tomorrow morning, so I'll watch the Haka again and see how I'm liking it then.
(I will not be seeing this game until after I finish work tomorrow, so please use the spoiler button if you see/or hear about the game before I come talk about it.)

So Flake, have you been practicing your Haka? I understand the gang might do it at the next Kon, and they just may need some instruction. :)
(Sorry, I've been avoiding this thread until I could catch up on games I'd missed.)

Women traditionally do a different Haka to the one you'll see at the rugby, but I'm sure anything they--the King Kon(ers)--come up with will be fine... I'll need video footage later on though. :biggrin2:

LAIDLAW IS ON FIRE!

SCOTLAND v ENGLAND next round ???? The aussie game will be an absolute cracker flake

Scotland 39-16 USA: Rugby World Cup 2015 – as it happened | Sport | The Guardian

Although all through the first have i was having flashbacks to a fumbling scotland of old when USA ripped through our scrum.

Lovin the games, im still in shock after the cherry blossoms win- coupon buster in the first week - but scotland slapped japan into line.

New zealand v georgia - any spoilers yet flake ?
Just finished watching...

New Zealand 43 ~ Georgia 10

A lot of handling errors, it feels like we're trying too hard. Georgia played with heart though... so we were tested. I'm hoping that we're still building our game.

Can't wait to see the England v Australia game...
