I don't believe in a supernatural shine but I do think we are more connected to things than our conscious mind realizes. If we can just relax and trust our instincts and listen to the music of the universe, we can connect a lot more dots and open more doors than we realize. Mostly we know the answers already but we refuse to listen and we overcomplicate things.

I totally read this post in my mental stoner Keanu Reeves voice. :tire: :D

I do agree with the sentiment, though.

Well, I have had "premonitions" in sleep, a couple of times. I can remember two work related dreams, first about getting temporarily laid off, then getting fired. Both cases came true. Or maybe it's just plain pessimism...
I've had this happen to me often. In dreams and just a certain 'knowing' that comes to me.

Me too. Not always or in every situation, it is really difficult to explain...I get a strong gut feeling that I should do something, talk to someone, or have a quick mental picture of something in the future...I go with it...and almost always turns out great.

I do not know how about supernatural shine... But I think I have something. I often know what a person will say in the next few seconds, sometimes I know what situation will happen next... I don't know, maybe it's something I see in dreams, and then it comes true. Maybe, something else...

I see dead people. No seriously I do. It's usually when I am either just falling asleep or just waking up. It's probably some sort of dream thing but it happens. I have seen my dad, my mother and a few of my friends who have passed on.
One time I dreamed that I was at a party with a person who I had a falling out with, we hadn't spoken for at least 2 years. We had at one time been dear friends. In the dream I saw him waving from across the room. I waved back and smiled. He came up to me asked me to dance and told me he was sorry for a lot of the stuff he had done in his life and that he had to go, he just wanted to say goodbye to me. I hugged him and told him that everything would be alright and then he was gone. The next morning I found out he had died in the night. Crazy right?

Dead people? Just one. I've been haunted since I was a kid. Things move and after awhile, I got to know when he was around. He's only been seen twice that I know of. Once, a neighbor sat across my kitchen table from me and told me that she'd slept with my husband and she was going to take my kids, my husband and everything I had, and there wasn't a damn thing I could do about it. She sat back, gloating, and then her eyes widened. She whispered "There's somebody in your house." She said there was a man standing behind me, through the doorway into the living room.
I knew there wasn't anybody there, so I asked her to tell me what he looked like. Young guy wearing jeans and a flannel shirt, just standing there.
Okay.
I asked her to leave and never come back.
She went out my door and fell down the stairs (I lived on the second floor, upstairs from a bar). She later said that she felt two hands push her, but there wasn't anybody at the top of the stairs. I was still sitting at the kitchen table. My hand to God.
After I called for help for her, I walked through my house. It was empty.
She never came back to my house.

The second time, I saw him myself.
It was many years later, long after I divorced that cheating sack of... you know. I was still smoking then, and my nightly ritual was to get ready for bed, shut off the lights, smoke one last cigarette and crash. I was sitting on my bed, about halfway through my final smoke of the day, and something caught the corner of my eye. I looked over, and there was a guy sitting on my overloaded basket of laundry, looking at me. There was just enough like coming in under the door for me to see a young guy with dark hair wearing jeans and a flannel shirt. He wasn't glaring or anything menacing. Just looking. He parted his hands like "What?"
I knew it was the same person my former friend had seen in my living room, knew it with the certainty that I know my own name.
We've all heard the expressions 'chill up your spine,' 'numb with fear' and how the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. But I only knew them as abstract notions before that moment. You can believe me when I tell you I had all three going on. I knew there were house-mates just on the other side of the door, all I had to do was call somebody. But I couldn't.
I darted a glance at the light switch to gauge how long it would take me to get to it. And, of course, when I looked back, just that fast, he was gone. I haven't seen him since, though I did feel him around me like always. One ex boyfriend insisted that there was no such thing as ghosts until he watched, with his own eyes, a soda can fall over, roll the length of the coffee table and stand itself back up. No lie. My children played with the family ghost when they were very small - though they scoff at the idea now - and I think he might have gone with them when they grew up and had babies of their own. I haven't had that familiar feeling that he's around for some time. I like to think that he is with them, watching over my grand-babies. I hope he is.

I dream things. I have never had a supernatural experience, nor have I seen apparitions of any sort but I feel positive energy around me all the time. I have had some experiences where my family who have passed have come to me in my dreams, and were so happy and contented and guided me through my life. So maybe I don't shine as much as I get an occasional shimmer.

Two weeks before one my of best friends died I had a dream. In the real world, I hadn't seen her in a long time (four years - but we talked almost everyday on MSN messenger).

The dream went like this:
I came home from school and walked into my bedroom, which was a renovated garage. My double bed was missing and in its place were two single beds. In the kitchen, I asked my Mum why this was and she said that "I was getting a visitor". I walked outside and my friend, Tina, was leaning on the front gate with a smile upon her face. We sat on the front lawn and talked until sundown. I don't remember what we talked about, but I know that the conversation was candid and enjoyable. Then, we climbed into our separate beds and talked until we fell asleep. I'd never had a dream where I'd felt as blissful, or as at peace. When I woke up (within the dream), Tina was not in the other bed. She was not inside getting breakfast. I knew - without having to be told by Mum or anyone else - that she had simply left.

I've had other dreams since about her. I seem to have them at times of stress. These dreams usually involve us walking around the town where I live in iridescent moonlight. We never talk. We hold hands through a night that is silent. I always wake up calmed.

There is other stuff too - real life stuff - but it requires a longer story that I'm willing to write at this late hour (it's approaching midnight in Australia).

Scientifically speaking, the birds and the bees do which means when mom and dad thought it was time for a talk about puberty and first time sex they were way too late and had forgotten that every species has an innate telepathic network. So, if the birds and the bees, the flowers and the trees, do it then so can we but, not if you do not acknowledge the ability as real.

You are more than a shimmer. You shine, Sharon. You shine.
