I actually paid to go see Chariots of the Gods in the theaters when it came out. I was a kid and loved documentaries even then. More to put on my list that sound good. Thanks!

I'm currently watching Ray Harryhausen: Special Effects Titan

I haven't seen the 1969 film, but I have got all Erich van Daniken books. He had some great theories, but he stretched the truth quite a bit. I did see a documentary about him a few years ago exposing him as a charlatan. I remember them showing where he's shown just the wings of the hummingbird Nazca line, saying it could have been a landing site for aliens. Ooh well.

Advanced Style (2014)
Watched on Netflix. I realize this was supposed to be inspiring, but it depressed the h*ll outta me. These older women embrace their aging and their personal style with such passion. I wish I felt that way about getting older. One woman interviewed, Joyce Carpati (age 80), is truly one of the loveliest and classiest ladies I have ever seen.
I watched this finally. I loved these women's attitudes! And they seemed happy, especially with the late life fame and attention. That was good. Otherwise, they seemed so alone to me. Even though they were still active. I know two of the women have died since, the red eyelash lady and the old one they talked about dying at the fashion show in the movie -- but I'm wondering how many more have passed? It was good.

Actually, I haven't seen it, and it seems like it's a b*tch to get a copy of (at least over, I think it was only released in the UK), and I asked if someone had, 'cause I'm interested to no whether it's more Pro-Mugabe, or Anti-Mugabe (or completely neutral).

Much grammar. Very punctuation.

Crocpocalypse (2014)

A National Geographic doc on the Florida crocodile. Scientists catch and tag crocs for research (not a job that I would want). The Florida crocs are only found in the very Southern part of the state and have been making a comeback since they were put on the protected list. The power company (FPL) has played a big role in the resurgence with a large wildlife preserve at their Turkey Point nuclear plant in Homestead. The doc discusses the potential danger as the Florida croc population grows and starts getting closer to the human population. The doc compares the American and Aussie crocs. It's on netflix.
