Seriously, nobody has a little bit of a spider phobia? I hate 'em,I know they have their job in life, but something about their unblinking eyes, legs moving separately,at you...don't like spiders!
I laughed at this too when I saw it in the theater and immediately thought of SK!
I'm definitely not a fan of spiders, but over sized ones as the personification of evil always make me giggle, then groan.

Spiders wouldn't be so bad if they didn't play the part. Beetles and ants go about their business in peace, usually low to the ground. Spiders will descend from a light fixture two inches from your head while you're facing the other way... and wait. What are they waiting for? WHAT?!

To scare the bejeezus out of you, that's what! o_O........have I mentioned that I hate spiders?

I really enjoy having spiders around the house. Love it when the really big ones build webs and nests, and especially near the front door... they freak out visitors. The screams are better than the doorbell at times. And I feed them stink bugs to make sure they stick around.

My daughter currently in college has added Biology as a minor. She has the mouse pictured below for her PC (although the spider in hers is a bit beefier). It always freaks her friends out. She also on occasion will bring home edible insects. I’ve tried a few... grasshoppers, ants and mealworms. I have to admit I'm not a fan, and think I’m just going to stick to the worm floating in my Mezcal. :)

I like to vacuum them up. I do the same with bees and any other critter that invades my house. The one exception is Lady Bugs. Those I pick up and put back out side. But if you want scary in a spider - one night my son came home from a date very late, like 3AM. He woke me up to tell me that there was a big black spider sitting on the door to the garage right by the knob like it was waiting for it to open. The darn thing had to be the size of my palm. Thankfully the Ortho Bug Begone was also in the garage and when I got by the spider and made sure he (it) didn't get in the house, my son and I dowsed him with as much liquid as we could. The darn thing still ran under a pallet of sodium chloride that my husband had stacked up. The next day, we found the dead spider but it had lived long enough to get way under the pallet. That one worried me. I looked for its friends and family for days.
