Hey all,
About two years ago I got into film studies, which here in Australia includes film production etc, I was excited as a long time Stephen King fan and reader (and as long as I remember my mother reading Stephen King books) that I was able to secure The Boogyman Dollar Baby contract.

I wrote the script, hand built many props etc however at that point my father passed away and due to the moment I had to pass up the opportunity to actually film anything.

After suffering my own bout of depression and actually writing a couple of my own short 'horror' stories I wanted to give it another shot, for me to show that I can do it, and for the honor of Stephen King having something I did on his shelf.

As I was looking, and re-reading some of the stories in which the Dollar Baby Contracts, I searched around and noticed a high number of 'Dollar Baby Festivals' around for people to send their films to.

I noticed there was none here in Australia (that I could find) and was wondering how I went about organizing one here. As it will be set up as a film festival, although in its infancy at first, I was just wanted to make sure it was set up in a way that under the Baby Dollar Contract it was okay for others to send their Dollar Babies to me, and this festival?

Any help anyone could supply - which I would presume would come from @Ms Moderator - would be greatly appreciated.

P.S - I have applied for the Dollar Baby I wish to make and will keep you updated with the process. Would be easier if the Australian dollar stopped falling :D

The biggest no-no would be for any dollar baby filmmakers to receive any monetary benefit from exhibiting their film as it must be not-for-profit only. There also cannot be any distribution of their film to others beyond the promoters of the festival for the sole purpose of showing the film to festival audiences.

I'm sorry for your loss.
