I'm glad the driver wasn't hurt. Hopefully, he wasn't to scared. (Hard to know because though the guy had a knife, there are different ways he could have been acting with it.)

Wonder if he offered to get the guy a double-double.

Man who allegedly hijacked bus to stop at Tim Hortons facing multiple charges - Toronto - CBC News

Isn't this just so stereotypical Canadian? It's like a skit from Air Farce.

Police say the man then entered the Tim Hortons store and called 911, saying that he believed he had overdosed on drugs.

No other passengers were on the bus with the man and police say they were able to get customers out of the store safely, where the man was arrested.

He now faces five charges including: assault with a weapon, mischief endangering life, forcible confinement, uttering threats and taking a motor vehicle without consent.

"Our driver is shaken, but he is okay," TTC spokesperson Brad Ross said Friday.
