I think Dr. Who shows should only be written by true Dr. Who fans. Way to easy to screw it up.

I just finished watching The God Complex. The twins were wearing the wrong clothes...that's exactly what I thought....and it turned the scene. It obviously was a take on Kubrik's twins...but they looked different enough to just be confusing.

Tv guide.com has this listed for tonight at 9 eastern. The new series beginning tomorrow night.

Doctor Who
9:00 PM on BBC, 1 hr 2014 TV-PG
Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman begin a global tour in Cardiff, Wales, before heading off to London, Seoul, Sydney, New York City, Mexico City and Rio de Janerio.

Thank you Spidey! I noticed BBC America was airing some Doctor Who episodes but I didn't realize they were airing them in order leading up to Peter Capaldi's first episode. I've only seen a handful of Matt Smith's episodes. I need to make some room on my dvr which won't be easy :( Bye-bye Defiance. Bye-bye The 100. Bye-bye favorite Castle and Psych and Leverage episodes. Maybe I'll just stay up all night watching :)

Watched the first episode with the new doctor last evening.
I was pleased with the show. It was a good regeneration and I could see traits of many of the past doctors. Still miss Matt a lot. Story was interesting too. Shall continue with next week and see how the new format works out.

thoughts from others on the new Doctor Who..........

I enjoyed the story, as well! Forgot to mention that I love the new opening credits! 12 seems "darker" and less quirky. I like that he's different!
I still miss Ten, LOL! Yes, I'm of "those" fans! ;p

Did anyone watch it yet? :)

I thought it was great. I am confident Capaldi will deliver the goods. I like how the episode leaves it ambiguous as to whether
The Doctor pushed the bad guy to his death, or if the Bad Guy jumped. I think the Doctor pushed him, because he has murdered a lot of times before, so him saying that his "basic programming" is that he doesn't murder is a load of bull.

I love Capaldi. I miss nine....my favourite. But I have hope...twelve could be as good.

I felt things seemed awkward between the doctor and Clara. Maybe just because they are such great actors and it was supposed to feel that way. I have loved Clara from her first introduction as
the soufflé baking Dalek.
. I always think she looks beautiful in Victorian England. But, why didn't other people find it off that there was a lizard lady walking the streets?

It was my understanding the veil "hid" the lizard like facial features. There was something in the episode where Clara no longer saw the veil.

So do I! Tennant was a bomb for me, but I liked Smith well enough. Eccleston is MY Doctor (lol). I'm really hoping that they weren't just teasing about
Clara leaving at or before Christmas
, though--really don't like that character at all.
