Jeez, those 70-80 dollar DVD season/series sets keep me from catching up... hey it's a nod to Night Shift, or Kurt Vonnegut, the hand with the eye... in Slaughterhouse 5 there were these aliens that were basically time-travelling plungers with hands on top that had a green eye....

So how was the wedding Moderator?

~~~
What did y'all think of the season opener? Bit weird.
Exhausting! ;-D
Partner DVRd Dr. Who so was able to watch it last night.
He obviously will have to go back to change things but whether he can really change it so that there were never daleks I'm doubting would happen.
Side note: BBC is showing Breakfast with Baker (Tom, doctor #4) on Sunday mornings. This past Sunday had Genesis of the Daleks which brought insight into this Season opener. I see that BBC will again have Breakfast with Baker this coming Sunday at 8AM EST.
This particular situation called back to "Genesis of the Daleks" in which the Fourth Doctor traveled back to the time of the Daleks' creation, where he asked Sarah Jane, "If someone who knew the future pointed out a child to you and told you that child would grow up totally evil, to be a ruthless dictator who would destroy millions of lives... could you then kill that child?" After she pointed out the Daleks were the most evil creatures the world had ever seen, the Doctor countered with a very Doctor-y reason: "But if I kill, wipe out a whole intelligent life form, then I'd become like them. I'd be no better than the Daleks."
I don't really like that this season is all stand alone or two part shows. Usually a season is all tied together more. But I do still love Capaldi.
Spoiler about last night's show.
I had read that Clara's goodbye was a major tear jerker. More hype than reality IMO. I had guessed to much of what was going to happen.
But it is definite that Maisie will not be taking over as the new companion. Good, because I like her much more in Game of Thrones.
Did anyone else notice, Heaven Sent seemed to be written by Steven Moffat and Stephen King, with a little help from JK Rowlings?
There was
a dark tower, messages on a chalk board from a much younger female, a familiar ending, and moving walkways.
Can't wait to see how it all plays out next week. Excellent episode last night.
