Me! I can sleep anytime, but, work dictates that I'm early to be early to rise!

I normally get up around 6:30 am - even though I work from home and don't have to be "at work" until 8:00 am.
But I'm rarely up in the middle of the night because I can't sleep (I am SO BLESSED in that way!)
Me too. Knock on wood I rarely have sleeping issues. The only thing that keeps me up some nights is my little old man(dog)but for him I don't mind. I am also so OCD about my sleep. NO tv, NO noise except for a fan(always on!)totally dark.
How do you like working out of your home? Do you ever get cabin fever?

I love it, and no, hubby is retired so he's here.... plus, I'm pretty introverted and prefer to work "uninterrupted" - I'm much more productive here than in an office (as I type on SKMB during work hours.. LOL!)

...I work First Shift at the prison...so I'm up around 4am-ish....ready for bed and some book time by 9...problem is, I have just been diagnosed with sleep apnea after trying to get help over the last couple of years....I'm sleeping, but getting no rest-and Tracy isn't either due to the woodchipper decibel level of my snoring...I haved had a sleep study done...stopped breathing 13 times, 29 partials and my oxygen saturation dropped to 85% which should be between 95 and 100...so now I go back for another study WITH a mask to see about getting the help....would explain my lack of energy and crazy weight gain....

Don't remember the last time an alarm woke me. I think it is The Winter of Our Discontent, character in that story imagines writing the time on a something. There's also the great line, the dirty Romans are forming up for Calvary. The story has an interesting take on time. Jesus is hanging on the cross...now. The Argentine Catholics...the baby Jesus? He's lying the manger, now. Ethan has a place, too, like Annie Wilkes has her laughing place, like Audry Wyler has her Mohonk Mountain...Ethan Hawke is the protag in Winter. I'm getting to a point, believe me you.

Another great line from Steinbeck's story: "I guess we're all, or most of us, the wards of that nineteenth-century science which denied existence to anything it could not measure or explain. the things we couldn't explain went right on but surely not with our blessing. we did not see what we couldn't explain, and meanwhile a great part of the world was abandoned to children, insane people, fools, and mystics, who were more interested in what is than in why it is. so many old and lovely things are stored in the world's attic, because we don't want them around us and we don't dare throw them out."

Ethan describes writing a time on a block of wood...or something...time, o'clock, and throwing that into the river...or some where...and that would get him up at four. I'd read that line yay ago and realized at the time and had forgotten it since, because I'd been doing the same thing...writing time on a block of wood...or something...and getting up at that time.

Only problem is...what with this time change, people are springing here, falling there, but me, I go in one direction, back. Was up at five...time changes...now it is four...this last one...yep, three it is. Eyes pop open with a kind of dread emergency, like there's something to do and there always is, hey? Always. Anyway, that's my story and see no reason to change it. I get a lot of paperwork done early on...step outside from time to time, you can hear the coyotes across the way there, chasing something, keying in on something...or maybe they brought something down. Life goes on.

I HATE MORNINGS.
During the school year, I have to be up by 5:30 for a 40-mile commute...in bed by around 10-11. I can barely speak from the time I get up until arriving at school.
I LOVE SUMMER.
I stay up until 3-4 A.M., and usually sleep until 11A.M.-12 noon. I am so happy when on this schedule. I dread August 5th.

I think we should throw a back to school party for you! hey, any excuse right? We can console you whilst partaking :very_drunk:
Hopefully your summer was good though and you were able to enjoy it. I have a couple of friends that are teachers and I make sure and tell them how much I hate them in the summer ;-D

Have you gone back yet? I hope they can help out. I don't know if you've checked into this or not but dentists can make a thing called a TAP appliance which is for sleep apnea. From what I've seen from patients it's much more comfortable than a mask. I'm not sure the cost in private practice though but insurance may cover it.

Great idea! Plus, I just got my Internet installed in my new house after a week without it! I need a party in the worst way!

...I still have another frickin' month yet...we'll see what happens-and yep, I have heard of the dental appliances...just keeping my fingers crossed that Tracy doesn't attempt face-pillow therapy before then....

...absolutely...you should know I have very little shame or embarrassment....I am tired of being tired...for real...I'm sleeping, but getting no rest...I feel awful for Tracy...I know it's ruining her sleep as well....and this weight gain is god-awful...my intake is down on many things-yet I have ballooned by 40 pounds...looks like I swallowed a Macy's Thanksgiving day float.....WITH grounds crew attached....
