...I believe so, and I think King at one point was quoted as saying that every child has the "Shine" to a greater or lesser degree, and it tends to get dimmed in many as they grow older and the shroud of maturity is thrown over it.....
What he said. Kids in King's books are often special, and do all seem to have a certain 6th sense of sorts, and I think King does indeed bundle these all together as different elements of the shining.

I gather you refer to Ellie's dreams about Church and Pascow?

Also, Pascow had to do the best he could to get the warning, after Louis asked him to leave him alone.

Even though he could not interfere, Pascow did everything in his power to help.

Remember how King mentions in more than one book that, while there is evil surrounding us, there is also a force of good that balances things, and looks out for us. Whatever force of good that sent Pascow to give the warning could make Ellie even more likely to feel these things. I think that even those early books have instances of forces of good in them.
