Ever had to call 411?
Ever had to call 411?
I never have, but my husband used to call pretty regularly on the neighbors across the street. Lots of drugs and lots of fighting. They are gone now, thank goodness.
And he called that time he was jogging and found that girl lying along the road with the shoelace tied around her neck.

It turned out to be attempted suicide. He didn't know that at the time though. She was still conscious and wouldn't let him try to loosen the string. He used her phone to call 911, it was lying next to her and he didn't have his with him. Stayed with her until the ambulance and police got there and then answered their questions. Pretty scary experience.
My son did, when he was four or five. Just punched in the numbers to see what would happen. He didn't talk to anyone, just pushed those three numbers, and sure enough, they came. I had to explain what happened. The burr-headed Gestapo just looked at me like I was lying, and tried nosing around. Finally they left. I told my son that the next time he 'cried wolf' the cops would take him to jail.
Scott did call to check a couple days later. They couldn't really tell him much, with privacy laws. She made it and was asking the cops for Scott's name at the hospital but they wouldn't give it to her. He did also hear from a co-worker (without giving him her name or anything) who is on the fire department as well that it was her 4th attempt. They knew her at the hospital.I'll say it was scary. Did you guys ever hear how she made out?
((((Dana Jean))))Twice.
Once for me. Once for my mom.
Actually, my mom called for me. I was home alone with my almost 4 year old and my newborn baby. I started going completely numb, starting with my face.
Things were okay.
The Mom one, things weren't okay. She had cancer that had spread throughout her body and she broke her hip. She couldn't move. This is when the family found out about the cancer. She had known for a very long time.
Surprisingly enough......noEver had to call 411?
