What is with some of these eateries? They serve food on anything but plates. It may seem cute but it is darn unhealthy serving food on any porous surface like wooden platters or soft material. Wooden platters absorb sustances like blood from states or bits of meat and cream. Imagine what the bacteria count is on these items. Washing does not get rid of it entirely. All I can say about this trend is yuck.

Behind you
I was involved hey (married) into a restaurant family. I had to go to many "fancy" dinners. I traveled across the country for wine tastings/dinners.
The stuff I ate!, or tried to. It all looked pretty,, but an egg in jello is a egg in jello no matter how you dress it up.

I never got into all the snobbery of it all. I am glad I am back to good ole home meals.
