Shasta

On his shell he holds the earth.
I've explained an attack my mom had from a neighborhood cat -- emergency room and lots of blood.
My mom had one of those as well. Ended up in the hospital with blood poisoning for 10 days and still has a bunch of scars.

I still REALLY love cats, though.

Oh, and my avatar is just me. The wonderful Atominchworm, who hasn't been around forever, did it.

Ultimately, it's not a cat's fault that they have long, sharp, pointy teeth or that their mouths harbor certain bacteria detrimental to humans. Sleeping 80% of their lives is their fault, however.

My avatar was picked because it is just awesome. I mean look at it!! Plus my old one didn't work here for some reason. I picked the old one because no one else had it and when you looked at it for a second, you got motion sickness. But I actually like the new one much better.

Looks like a fifties experiment with weed.

Love these threads! My avatar is called Scarlet Macaw. It is from a lithograph that I own (273/400) of the original watercolor on silk painting by the St. Lucian artist Daniel Jean-Baptiste. I have several other pieces of his that I have collected while cruising. This one is my favorite, 'cause parrots are awesome!

But what about your avatar? This is the "explain your avatar" thread. :watermelon:

:topsy_turvy:

Sorry. Wrong thread.

My avatar is from a movie about Kuchisake Onna. It freaked me out in a wonderfully exciting way. She scared me but I felt sorry for her as well.

I liked her so I adopted her. :smile2:

Oh! BTW-have you ever seen the movie The Monster Squad ? Way cool.

You get some pretty bizarre images when you do a Google search for Kuchisake Onna!

This thread should keep Out of Order way busy. My avatar is from the band Pozo Seco's Shade of Time album cover. The album is a personal favorite of a friend. When the Board changed software platforms I had to choose a new avatar. I don't remember what prompted me to select the one I did. Maybe I stumbled upon it while surfing. I'm in the process now of finding out again who the photographer is.
I'm a pretty big music fan and I love all genres for the most part; I consider myslef a bit of a music nerd. That said, I had never heard of the Pozo-Seco Singers before your post blunthead. Just listening to a few songs now. Love it! Thanks for inadvertently turning me on to a new group!
