Mine is the late, great Stumpy, a beloved pet killed by the nasty old lady across the street. She doesn't like cats in her yard so she put out antifreeze. My sister in law took a wooden ornament, broke the tail off and made that wonderful tribute to dear the dear old Stumpster.

Love and green lights............ While reading the Tao Te Ching, a book of 81 concepts for life, I came across a modern day translation by Dr Wayne Dyer. His favorite saying is: I send you love and all green lights. That phrase caught me in a special way.

The love part is basic, but within the Tao is has greater meaning. Love is the desire to give and not look for reward from anyone. When we chose love we are taken to higher consciousness, both inner and upward. Life becomes harmonious and free from strain.

The green lights is a comparison to ones life path and a traffic light. Picture traveling down a busy highway and needing to stop at each red light. Your travel is not smooth and free flowing. However, if you experience only ( all) green lights, your travel is clear sailing. On your journey of life, if you experience all green lights, your path is smooth and free. To wish one no harm, nothing to stop them in their journey.

This is why I wish you love and green lights. A life's journey filled with love and a smooth path to travel.

Pooh Just Is come from the Tao of Pooh. A life lesson to show how Pooh deals with life.... He just is.

"While Eeyore frets ...
... and Piglet hesitates
... and Rabbit calculates
... and Owl pontificates
...Pooh just is."

I didn't have a signature, and this thread prompted me to get one.

I just like the statement. I don't have the answers, I don't think that anyone does despite their certainty, and it's a nice counterbalance to cosmic arguments where I hear, "It can't be like that, because..."

The line is from The Drawing of the Three. It's a good reminder in a whiny world (and when I feel like whining) that the buck stops with me. I'm responsible for how I act/react, even when I can't control circumstances around me. Cort was a wise man.

The line is from The Wind Through the Keyhole. This quote resonated with me because I think it's so true; stories are timeless and bring people together. They're passed down and stay with us; some more than others. Whether real or imaginary, they allow us to enter other worlds and lives. Bottom line: Stories are awesome! :)

One of all-time favorite musical artists is Kate Bush and this line from her song Cloudbusting is my personal mantra and gets me through the tough times. The way she sings it in the song makes you believe something good really is going to happen, so when I repeat this to myself, I hear her singing it and encouraging me.

From Shawshank.. Maybe my favorite line ever, because it is true.. No matter what, life may be rough or downright awful at times, but if you hope..well,as the man says,it may be the best of things..
